Second Wind Dreams is a nearby non-profit organisation on Shallowford Road that has an ongoing need for volunteers that are high school age or older. This is not a Scout activity, it is an opportunity for independent volunteer work. You must have your parent’s permission in order to participate.
Second Wind Dreams seeks to change the perception of aging in two ways; Elder Dream Fulfillment (fulfilling wishes), and also education through a tool (the Virtual Dementia Tour) which shows family, medical and nursing staff how dementia affects patients. The sale of the VDT, along with donations, funds the dreams.
