If you are interested in backpacking with Troop 714 and have been on a backpack check out weekend and would like to go on an challenging backpack trip in early May, now is your chance.
On May 2 – 4th join Troop 714 in hiking a 21.2 mile section of the Appalachian Trail (From Neel Gap to Unicoi Gap). The cost is approximately $10 (not including your food on the trail or the return trip’s fast food stop).
We will be leaving MVUMC around 5:30 PM on May 2nd, arriving in North Georgia with a short night hike to our first camp site. The next morning we will continue our hike, camp Saturday night on the trail, and complete the trip Sunday morning. We should be back to Davis Elementary by 3:00 PM Sunday.
