Troop 714 Service Projects Coordinator MVUMC Service Projects Coordinator Ms. Yuen is helping coordinate and track all T-714 service projects, both the monthly Service Patrol project for MVUMC and all other projects undertaken at the troop and patrol level. Feel free to call her or e-mail to service@troop714.org both if you need help finding a suitable project and with records when you are done. Please don't forget to do this important step of submitting a roster and hours worked for all projects -- no matter how small (including Eagle projects). Click here for more information:
More information on the Good Turn for America web site. Ms. Thorne is helping coordinate service projects benefitting MVUMC (or sponsoring organization) Cherokee M.U.S.T. Contact Ms. Thorne by e-mail to serviceprojects@troop714.org. She can help with both the monthly service project required of all Service Patrols as well as any Eagle Scouting looking for a project benefiting these organizations. While Ms. Thorne can help you find a project benefiting MVUMC, you must still contact Ms. Yuen with the roster and hours worked for all projects. Remember that every month the Service Patrol (which was the Program Patrol the previous month) is required to perform at least a one hour service project benefiting our sponsoring organization (Mountain View United Methodist Church - MVUMC). Ms. Thorne can help you find/plan that project, Ms. Yuen will make sure you and your patrol member receive credit in the troop records for the project. Be sure to work with both of them! Eagle Service Projects do not have to benefit our sponsoring organization (MVUMC) but if you would like to find a project at MVUMC, talk to MS. Thorne for ideas. Your Eagle Coach can help you find other ideas for Eagle Scout Service Projects. When you are done, don't forget to e-mail service@troop714.org with the service records so all your helpful friends get credit for their participation! If you (or your patrol) would like to find a additional service project (for meeting the National Honor Patrol requirement, for example), Ms. Yuen will maintain a list of currently available projects in which you could assist. Remember that a Scout is Helpful (3rd point of the Scout Law)! |
