All troop adults should join us this coming Monday, May 5, in the sanctuary after the troop announcements are complete in the fellowship hall for the parent meeting.
Important items for this meeting:
- PARENT SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION MEETING – Bring all your questions about summer camp! Mrs. Peavy will talk about what your scout needs and doesn’t need. Logistics about going: Remember your final payment is also due soon if you haven’t paid the full amount!
- NOTARIES – The signature on the health form (Give 2 copies of Part A – to the troop). We get that notarized although the actual form doesn’t indicate that it’s required, some states require it and it can make the process of getting help quickly more efficient. Notaries will be on website Monday to notarize your signatures.
- MUST LUNCH DONATIONS – MVUMC gives our troop tremendous support all year round. We are allowed to use their facilities fully, they are very supportive and accommodating of us. Please help our troop support Mountain View in its quest to provide summer lunches to children who might not have any other food that day.
Every scout needs to bring:
- 20 Juice boxes
- 20 Fruit Snacks
- 20 packages of cookies (individual packages or larger package packed into snack bags)
- 20 individual packages of chips
- About 16 pieces of lunch meat (ham/bologna/turkey)
- Cheese (about 16 pieces)
We will be assembling the lunches at the end of May to provide the first week of Lunches for MVUMC’s distribution. If you haven’t contributed, please consider doing so. We’ll have an update on Monday.
